<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>Br&oslash;nn&oslash;ysund Bilutleie (BS Bilservice), Br&oslash;nn&oslash;ysund Airport, org no. 984 225 385 MVA</strong>, provides a car rental service for private individuals and businesses. Vehicles can be reserved by contacting us by phone or email, with pick-up and return at agreed locations.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>1. General</strong> These terms and conditions apply to the rental of vehicles and related services from bronnoysundbilutleie.no for both private individuals and businesses. The terms, together with your booking confirmation, constitute the complete agreement for the rental.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>2. Definitions</strong> Rental company / we / us: BS Bilservice, hereinafter referred to as the rental company, we, or us.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">Renter / you / customer: The person named as the renter in the booking confirmation.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">Rental object: The vehicle and any included accessories rented through bronnoysundbilutleie.no or by direct agreement.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">Pick-up point: The agreed location for vehicle handover and return, including Br&oslash;nn&oslash;ysund Airport.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>3. Payment, Deposit and Pricing</strong> Payment is made by agreement, either by card, invoice, or other approved payment method. The rental agreement is considered binding upon confirmed booking.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">BS Bilservice may reserve a deposit amount at the time of booking. The deposit covers potential costs if the vehicle is returned late, damaged, or not returned at all. The deposit amount will be stated in your booking confirmation.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">All prices are inclusive of VAT. The total cost will be presented before booking is confirmed and includes all charges associated with the rental. In the event of a material pricing error on our part, BS Bilservice reserves the right to amend, cancel or reject an order, provided the customer is notified within a reasonable time after the error is discovered.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>4. Condition of the Vehicle</strong> BS Bilservice undertakes to provide vehicles in good condition and in a roadworthy state. We carry out inspections and maintenance before and after each rental.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">The renter is responsible for any damage or loss during the rental period, except for damage attributable to pre-existing technical faults or defects. The renter must inspect the vehicle before departure and report any concerns to BS Bilservice immediately.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>5. Damage</strong> All damage, technical faults or incidents occurring during the rental period must be reported to BS Bilservice immediately at <a class="underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current" href="mailto:bsbilservice1@gmail.com">bsbilservice1@gmail.com</a> or by calling 45400333. This also applies in cases of theft.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">If damage is caused by misuse, intentional action or negligence, BS Bilservice may apply the reserved deposit and, if necessary, charge additional amounts to cover the costs of repair, servicing or vehicle replacement. This also applies if the vehicle is returned in a neglected state or unreasonably dirty.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">We are happy to provide guidance on vehicle use but accept no liability for direct or indirect damage or loss resulting from use of the vehicle.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>6. Use of the Vehicle</strong> Use of the rental vehicle is entirely at the renter's own risk. The renter must hold a valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle class and be at least 18 years of age. Age restrictions may vary depending on vehicle type and will be specified in the booking details.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">The vehicle must only be used in a lawful manner and in accordance with Norwegian road traffic legislation. Subletting the vehicle to a third party is not permitted. Smoking in the vehicle is strictly prohibited. The renter is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is not driven outside agreed geographical boundaries without prior written approval from BS Bilservice.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>7. Accessories</strong> Any additional accessories, such as child seats or roof boxes, must be requested at the time of booking and will be specified in the booking confirmation. The renter is responsible for the correct fitting and use of such accessories during the rental period.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>8. Rights and Obligations of the Renter</strong> The renter must be at least 18 years of age and provide accurate personal details when making a booking. Communications from BS Bilservice sent to the provided email address or phone number are considered received and valid at the time of sending.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location, date and time as stated in the booking confirmation. The renter is responsible for being aware of the opening hours of the pick-up point.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">A delay in returning the vehicle of more than 1 (one) hour beyond the agreed rental end time entitles BS Bilservice to charge one additional day's rental plus an administrative surcharge of NOK 300 to cover costs incurred by late return. If the vehicle is not returned within one additional day, BS Bilservice is entitled to charge the daily rate for each day the vehicle remains unreturned.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">By making a booking, the renter authorises BS Bilservice to charge the payment method on file for outstanding rental charges, damage costs and other fees as set out in these terms.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>9. Changes to Bookings</strong> To amend a booking, please contact BS Bilservice at <a class="underline underline underline-offset-2 decoration-1 decoration-current/40 hover:decoration-current focus:decoration-current" href="mailto:bsbilservice1@gmail.com">bsbilservice1@gmail.com</a> or by calling 45400333. Changes are not valid until confirmed in writing by us. Extensions to the rental period may be arranged before or during the rental, subject to vehicle availability.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">Changes that affect vehicle availability for other customers may be subject to an amendment fee of NOK 300.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>10. Vehicle Handover and Return</strong> Handover and return take place at the location, date and time specified in the booking confirmation. The renter must present valid photo identification and the booking confirmation upon collection. The name on the booking must match the identification presented.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">If vehicle handover is delayed, BS Bilservice will inform the renter as soon as possible.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">BS Bilservice is responsible for the vehicle until it has been handed over to the renter. The renter is responsible for the vehicle from the point of collection until it has been returned and accepted by BS Bilservice. Upon satisfactory return in a contractual condition, any deposit reservation will be released.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>11. Privacy</strong> BS Bilservice processes your personal data (name, address, phone number, email address, and booking history) in order to fulfil the rental agreement and exercise our rights. This information is stored for as long as required for accounting purposes and other legal obligations.</p>
<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">The renter has the right to request deletion of their personal data by contacting BS Bilservice directly. For further information, please see our privacy policy at bronnoysundbilutleie.no.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>12. Right of Withdrawal</strong> The Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act applies to the purchase of goods, but not to vehicle rental agreements where a specific date has been agreed, in accordance with Section 22(l) of the Act. Any pre-paid additional services not yet activated may carry a right of withdrawal of up to 14 days from the date of purchase.</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>13. Governing Law</strong> These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with Norwegian law. The agreed jurisdiction is Oslo District Court (Oslo Tingrett).</p>

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]"><strong>14. Amendments</strong> BS Bilservice reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Material changes affecting the renter's rights or obligations will be published on bronnoysundbilutleie.no at least 30 days before taking effect.</p>
